About

About Lancs SBM Hub

Lancs SBM Hub has been created to provide a sustainable, professionally supported network for School Business Managers and operational leaders across Lancashire.

The Hub exists to give colleagues a trusted space for professional discussion, networking, collaboration and practical support throughout the year.

Our purpose

The role of school business leadership continues to grow in both scope and responsibility. LancsSBM Hub has been created to help colleagues stay connected, informed and supported in what can often be a demanding and isolated role.

The Hub is designed to complement conferences, local meetings, webinars and events by providing an ongoing professional community between those points of contact.

Community-led direction

Lancs SBM Hub is intended to be shaped by the community it serves.

A steering group made up of practitioners and supporters from across the region will help guide the future direction of the network, including conference content, webinars, briefings and other member activities.

The aim is to keep the network practical, relevant and rooted in the needs of Lancashire schools and trusts.

Who is behind Lancs SBM?

Lancs SBM Hub is part of theEducationCollective, a wider platform supporting school business leaders and education professionals across the country.

The Hub has been developed by Neil Limbrick through Limbrick Consultancy LLP, drawing on extensive experience supporting schools, trusts and SBM networks.

Neil also chairs the Sandwell school business network and has held a long-standing role on the BASBM committee, helping provide wider regional links, shared experience and opportunities for collaboration with other established networks.

A sustainable approach

One of the key aims of LancsSBM Hub is to create a network that is useful, stable and sustainable over the long term.

The Hub is built on established infrastructure and a clear membership model, helping ensure the network can continue to grow while remaining focused on the needs of its members.

Alongside membership, the network also works with carefully selected sponsors and partners where they can provide genuine value to schools and trusts. This helps support the long-term sustainability of the community while keeping the focus firmly on member benefit.
